Join Community Building Art Works to Honor Fallen Service Members This May
Throughout the month of May, Community Building Art Works (CBAW) invites you to honor fallen service members as we prepare for our special Memorial Day Creative Sanctuary.
This year, artists of all mediums are welcome to participate in We Remember, our annual Memorial Day Project—a digital art exhibit that celebrates the lives and sacrifices of these heroes. Whether your art is two-dimensional, three-dimensional, or anything in between, we encourage you to submit pieces created in their memory.
As in previous years, our visual art workshops during May will be fully dedicated to the Memorial Day Project. These workshops will be guided by our talented core Veteran facilitators: Valerie Acosta, Shaun Smith, and Joe Merritt. Join us to work on your submission for the exhibit, learn new techniques, and connect with others through art.
Submissions for the Memorial Day Project are due by Thursday, May 22nd. The completed digital art exhibit, We Remember, will be unveiled during our Memorial Day Creative Sanctuary on Monday, May 26th and will be available to view soon after on our website.
