Alexis Laryea
MTOS Program Manager
Alexis Laryea is a part-time doodler and writer who enjoys using discarded objects to recreate new pieces. She served 16 years in the Army Reserve and took pride in her job as an Admin specialist; working to support her troops, the warfighters, and support staff(s). She was medically retired after her tour to Afghanistan and eventually decided to go back to school.
Alexis is now a Licensed Resident in Counseling and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) who graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) from Walden University. She enjoys working with families and individuals that suffer from a wide range of mental health disorders, including substance abuse.
As a new member of the Community Building Art Works (CBAW) team, Alexis hopes to inspire others to draw lots of stick figures, make a mess, cry a little, laugh a lot, and to freely be themselves.
