Ester Ortiz Sanchez
MTOS Program Coordinator
Ester Ortiz-Sanchez is a USMC military spouse and mom of three with 25+ years of experience supporting military service members and their families. She received the President’s Volunteer Service Silver Award for her volunteer time as a L.I.N.K.S. Mentor for the MCCS Marine Corps Family Team Building, a Key Volunteer Spouse, and Family Readiness Coordinator while stationed in Camp Lejeune, NC. She began working at the USO Warrior and Family Center at Fort Belvoir as a Resiliency Program Coordinator once relocated to the DMV area in 2016. In this role, Ester supported many of the art, music, and writing programs and events offered to wounded, ill, and injured service members.
In 2020, as a Program Specialist, Ester helped open USO Quantico West. Her creativity, military experience, and networking skills allowed her to create innovative programs that supported service members and their families during the pandemic. In December 2023, she joined CBAW as a More Than One Story Program Coordinator.
