For Immediate Release – Watch last year’s video on YouTube
On Saturday, September 14th, CBAW and Strathmore Foundation will co-present our 2nd Annual Day of Belonging at Strathmore Mansion in Rockville, MD. Day of Belonging is a day-long celebration of the power of art to build bridges between Veterans and citizens through creative expression.

The event features professionally-facilitated expressive arts workshops, performances, and readings showcasing the work and talent of artists from the military and Veteran communities. Participants and facilitators who usually connect with us online gather from the local area and across the country.

2023 Day of Belonging: If you want to get a feel for what happens at the event, and the impact of our work in general, check out our short video documenting last year’s celebration.

At this year’s event, we are highlighting participants from More Than One Story, which is a series of writing workshops we hold exclusively for women and non-binary Veterans. We’ll also celebrate the voices and contributions of military caregivers who participated in our We Carry On program in partnership with Wounded Warrior Project
