The Fine Arts Work Center (FAWC) and Community Building Art Works (CBAW) are once again extending an opportunity for veterans to experience a week of world-class writing and visual art workshops in Provincetown, Massachusetts. In collaboration with FAWC’s Summer Workshops in 2024, three scholarships are available for CBAW-affiliated veterans to delve into the realms of fine arts and creative writing.

FAWC presents an array of 65 exceptional visual arts and creative writing workshops, led by celebrated and accomplished contemporary artists, spanning nine weeks. Noteworthy features include a new tiered tuition system to enhance accessibility, and a commitment to environmental sustainability by providing an online catalog only.
Scholarship Program Overview
Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, FAWC has expanded its scholarship program, aiming to welcome individuals historically underserved by the arts community. Last year, 20% of students attended workshops tuition-free, a figure FAWC aims to match or exceed in 2024.

FAWC 2024 Summer Workshops
FAWC’s signature education program will offer 65 week-long, open-enrollment workshops in visual arts and creative writing to hundreds of students over the course of nine weeks this summer. CBAW Marketing & Communications Manager
Rob Haney is an artist, writer, and graphic designer with a passion for making slick-looking and fun images that catch the eye and draw viewers in. Rob worked for over 10 years in retail banking and management in their previous life, before returning to school and earning an Associates of Arts with Honors from Rock Valley College in 2012. An early addict to Twitter, Rob enjoys liking and resharing cool stuff and interacting with people who hold similar interests on the internet. They currently are working on their degree in Graphic Design while creating social media content for clients. When not online, Rob writes and reads poetry, creates both physical and digital artwork, and watches British mystery shows.
