On Wednesday, April 23rd, Community Building Art Works was honored to participate in the The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program‘s Volunteer Appreciation Night.
Veterans Consortium is an incredible organization dedicated to assisting unrepresented veterans and their families who have filed appeals at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. They also recruit and train attorneys in the important and growing field of veterans’ law.
During the event, CBAW’s Seema Reza, Valerie Acosta, Alexis Laryea, and Anne Barlieb led a hands-on mandala-making activity, offering a moment of creativity and reflection. Ben Weakley also took part in a panel discussion addressing the challenges Veterans face in their post-service transition and highlighting the critical role of volunteer organizations in supporting them.
We send a huge thank you to Veterans Consortium for their vital work and to all the volunteers who dedicate their time and expertise to serving Veterans and their families!
