CBAW was proud to participate in the Military Women’s Memorial’s health and wellness series, Serving In Strength.
On February 28th, Military Women’s Memorial launched the SERVING IN STRENGTH Series – a Health & Wellness Series focused on Servicewomen and Women Veterans. Community Building Art Works was thrilled to take part in this important event in the lead-up to Women’s History Month!
The launch event focused on heart health with keynote remarks from Rear Admiral Tracy Farrill & Brigadier General Deydre S. Teyhen, followed by an expert panel discussion featuring Seema Reza, Dr. Andrea Stahl, Dr. Lori Highberger, Lourdes Tiglao, and led by MWM Board member, Dr. Sharon Bannister, Maj Gen (ret) USAF.
The event culminated in a networking reception where guests enjoyed a catered reception and explored resources via informational tables located throughout the Memorial’s gallery. Guests also participated in a special activity led by Community Building Art Works and the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals.

Rob Haney is an artist, writer, and graphic designer with a passion for making slick-looking and fun images that catch the eye and draw viewers in. Rob worked for over 10 years in retail banking and management in their previous life, before returning to school and earning an Associates of Arts with Honors from Rock Valley College in 2012. An early addict to Twitter, Rob enjoys liking and resharing cool stuff and interacting with people who hold similar interests on the internet. They currently are working on their degree in Graphic Design while creating social media content for clients. When not online, Rob writes and reads poetry, creates both physical and digital artwork, and watches British mystery shows.
