Share your work in our Art Saves Lives submission period! Join us in celebrating the power of art and the voices of our community.

At CBAW, we believe in the transformative power of art. We are excited to invite you to share your personal story through a 500 to 800 word essay or a visual art piece. In this Art Saves Lives submissions period, we want to hear about how art has influenced your life, your creative journey, the joy and pain in your process, and moments of self-discovery.

Inspired by Edward R. Murrow’s “This I Believe” series, where individuals share powerful beliefs rooted in their personal experiences, we encourage you to reflect your genuine voice and perspective in your submission. This is your chance to let your unique story shine and inspire others.

Selected essays will be published on the Art Saves Lives page of our website, and visual art will be featured in a future CBAW digital gallery. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your work and connect with a community that values the impact of art.

Important Dates to Remember:

  • Art Saves Lives Submissions Open: November 15, 2024
  • Art Saves Lives Submissions Deadline: December 31, 2024

To get you inspired, we will be resharing some of our Art Saves Lives essays on social media over the next few weeks. You can also explore the entire series right now on our Art Saves Lives page.

Make sure you are signed up for the CBAW newsletter to receive a reminder when our open submission form goes live. We cannot wait to see your work and hear your story!

Join us in celebrating the power of art and the voices of our community.

About Community Building Art Works (CBAW)
