In honor of Pride Month, Valerie will hold a study on the life and work of Andy Warhol. A defining figure of the Pop Art movement, he used a variety of artistic methods to make art that highlighted social issues. One of the most famous LGBTQ contemporary artists, he became a symbol of artistic progress in NYC during the 80s and 90s and is considered to be one of the greatest visual artists of the 20th century. After the presentation, we will make art in the style of Andy Warhol. As always, you can follow along or work on your own projects.
