Workshop: Writing an Honest, Compelling Personal Essay: Learn to tell the story only you can tell, bravely and authentically. Essays are a window into your lived experience, but it takes courage and an open heart to get those words on the paper. Practice brainstorming ideas, develop a narrative arc, and learn basic editing and revision techniques. Discuss beta readers, writing groups, and what types of publications you might enjoy reading and submitting to. Participants will leave with the beginnings of an essay draft and a plan to move forward. Come prepared to write!
