A special writing workshop with Tim Z. Hernandez benefiting Community Building Art Works programs for Veterans, Service Members, Military Families, and Healthcare Workers.
The Story-Gatherer’s Toolkit with Author Tim Z. Hernandez – April 6th, 2023 at 7 PM EDT
Join us for a special writing workshop with poet, Tim Hernandez, to benefit Community Building Art Works programs for veterans, service members, military families, and health care workers. This workshop is free for Veterans, Service Members, and Healthcare Workers. All ticket sales benefit CBAW’s programs. This workshop will be recorded* and a link will be e-mailed to all ticket holders once the recording is available for viewing.
Testimony, sketch-journaling, text catalogues, field notes, found language, and the sixth sense… there are endless ways of gathering stories and turning information into compelling narrative. In this workshop we’ll explore some of these possibilities, and how we go from raw material to finished product. The author may share excerpts from his books, and will lead us in a playful generative workshop that is open to all genres.
