Natural Objects: Songwriting Fundamentals and Lyric Analysis — A Workshop to Benefit CBAW Programs with Matthew Sidney Parsons

Join Matthew Sidney Parsons for Natural Objects: Songwriting Fundamentals and Lyric Analysis on Thursday, March 6th at 7pm EST. This workshop will be aimed at demystifying the process of creating lyrics and providing a framework to evaluate and appreciate the lyrics of songs we love. The material will be accessible and useful to folks of any experience level. No extra materials will be necessary.
Ticket sales from this fundraising workshop will benefit Community Building Art Works programs for veterans, service members, military families, and health care workers. A limited number of FREE tickets for Veterans, Service Members, and Healthcare workers are available on a first come, first served basis. This workshop will be recorded and a link will be e-mailed to all ticket holders once the recording is available.*
*Recording will only contain workshop lessons. All other participant video will be edited for user privacy. Only registered participants will have access to the recorded workshop.
Matthew Sidney Parsons is an author, farmer, and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter. His poetry and prose have been published in Rattle, Still, and 2River View, among others, and he holds an MFA in Creative Writing from EKU’s Bluegrass Writers Studio. Parsons lives on a family subsistence homestead in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with his wife and children.
